How old is a website? This free Domain Age Checker reads the official registration record for any domain and shows exactly when it was registered, how old it is in years, months and days, when it was last updated, when it expires, the registrar and its name servers. Check up to 10 domains at once.
Frequently asked questions
Where does the domain age come from?
From the official domain registration record (RDAP, the modern replacement for WHOIS) published by the registry for that domain extension.
Does an older domain rank better?
Google has said domain age itself is not a ranking factor. Older domains often rank well because they have had more time to earn links and build content, not because of their age.
Why can't I see some domains?
A few country extensions do not publish RDAP data yet, and some registries limit requests. Try again later or check the registry website for that extension.
Can I check several domains at once?
Yes. Enter up to 10 domains, one per line.

- Click Check domain age.
- Read the age, registration and expiry dates for each domain.
Why domain age is useful
- Buying guest posts: an older site with real content is usually safer than a brand-new one. Compare sites in our guest post marketplace.
- Buying an expired or aged domain: confirm the real registration date before you pay.
- Checking competitors and partners: see how long a business has had its website.
- Renewal reminders: spot domains that are close to expiring.
Remember that age alone does not make a site rank. Content, links and trust matter far more. Use our Backlink Opportunity Finder to grow a younger site faster.
