Prioritise issues by how much they stop pages from being found or indexed, then by how many pages they affect:
- Blocking problems: robots.txt blocks, accidental noindex tags, broken canonical tags, server errors.
- Indexing and duplication: duplicate or thin pages, wrong redirects, redirect chains, 404s on pages that have links.
- Crawlability: missing XML sitemap, orphan pages with no internal links, very deep pages.
- Performance: Core Web Vitals and mobile usability.
- Enhancements: schema markup, hreflang, image alt text.
Fix the first two groups before polishing the rest. Tools like our 301 Redirect Generator and robots.txt tester help with the quick fixes.
