First, do not panic or make big random changes. Core updates re-evaluate content quality across the web, and some recovery often comes with the next update if you improve the right things.

  1. Confirm the cause. Check that the drop lines up with the update dates and is not a technical issue (noindex tags, broken pages, tracking errors).
  2. Find which pages lost traffic in Search Console and compare them with the pages that now outrank you.
  3. Improve, don't just tweak. Add real expertise, examples and depth. Remove or merge thin and outdated posts.
  4. Check trust signals: author information, accurate facts, clear sourcing and a good user experience.
